Hey all, time for some news!

I've been gone a while, for numerous reasons. But I'm going to try and get back into the swing of  things here on DeviantART.
If you don't already, you can follow me on other social media platforms for more up-to-date-updates. {Instagram specifically}

The main reasons I haven't been here are commissions, I've been doing some work I can't talk about for a company I can't mention.
My cat has also been terribly ill so I've been working overtime to try and save that little furbutt.

I also just recently rescued a Bearded Dragon {adult} from a less than idea environment. I'm taking him to the vet this week, but turns out he'll be a lot more than anticipated. Which is fine, I'd rather spend the time and money on him than know that I left him to that place. {The guy was selling the dragon, but was giving no information with him, so any new reptile owner would have been in for a bad time}

I'm currently running a sale on my etsy shop to try and raise funds to care for this Beardie {at least until I know he's healthy enough to be re-homed}, and to pay for my cat's medications.
So head on here to visit my etsy shop, and use code "savethecritters" to get 20% off a purchase of $20 or more!

I have new paintings I'm going to start uploading soon, as well as some new projects that I hope to get a start on.

That's all for now,
Until next time

Happy {late} New Years!

With a new year, comes new everything!

First up, my old computer kicked the bucket and I was forced to buy a new one.
To celebrate my new computer {and help me get back on my feet}, I'm having a sale at my Etsy Shop!
For all my DeviantART followers, I have a special discount coupon just for you! Just type "DEVIOUS" in the coupon box during checkout to get a nice discount on your order!
I'm always rotating new prints to my shop, so if there's something you really like and it's not there, I can easily print it specially for you!

Next up. New Website!
I gave my site a makeover, so it'll be much easier to navigate.
It's also much more mobile friendly!

I'll be attending three different conventions this year.
So if you're interested check out this link HERE for a list of the conventions I'm heading to.

Hey, everyone.

DeviantART has been acting up for me lately. It's taking forever to load. Is this happening to anyone else, or is it just me?

Anyways, I'm back and I'll be uploading paintings as I make them. I sold many of my original paintings this weekend at the comic expo so I will be making more soon! {Maybe after I go crazy decorating my yard for Halloween}

If you want more up-to-date updates please check out my Facebook page!
It's easier to keep that page updated with new paintings and announcements.

Also, for those of you who read the "Sly Fox" and "Edge of Perception" comics:
The second issues are on their way!!!

Within the week the comic "Sly Fox" will have the prologue of the second issue posted.
Do note, the artwork is in a brand new style, much better and more "dark" than the original. So if you're not fond of the art in volume one, keep an eye out for volume two!
Please keep in mind, this particular comic is not for young or sensitive readers.
There is violence, blood, course language and sensitive topics

Check it out, HERE!

That aside, I am almost complete with volume two of "on the Edge of Perception".
The comic got put on hold after some personal events set me back quite a ways, followed by my getting hired to do the art/design for another comic.
But we're back!
The updates for that comic will start next month {hopefully, as long as things continue to go smoothly for me}
I was experimenting with the first issue, of doing a mainly traditional comic. My skills with a marker have greatly improved since then, and who knows...I may go back to a similar style in the future.
HOWEVER
The second issue has a BRAND new style. I'm loving it so far, and I hope all of you love it as well, and continue to enjoy the characters as you have so far.

Updating once in a blue moon

Journal Entry: Wed Jun 10, 2015, 7:54 PM
Hey everyone,

First off, sorry for the silence here on DeviantART! I'm going to try and fix that.

Secondly.
Thanks to everyone who came out to visit, hang out and say "Hi!" at the Calgary Expo and The Eek!

Some of you may know, that I had made a small batch of potted baby Groot saplings:
Dancing Baby Groots - Batch 001 by Flooboo
Big thanks to everyone who bought one at The Eek!
Nearly sold out of them all on the first day!

For those of you who didn't get a chance to grab one before they were sold, or couldn't make it to The Eek:
Good News!
I'll be making more for the Edmonton Expo this September!

Unfortunately right now these guys are only available at conventions.
I live in Canada, and quite frankly, Canada Post sucks. They are often rough with things.

I want to start making more paintings, traditional ones on canvas, that is.
I've got a few ideas lined up.

I'll probably stick with fantasy for now.
I've got some ideas for some sci-fi themed ones too!
If there's something specific or just a genre you want to see from me, let me know below in the comments!

I've been quite busy lately, doing the art and colours on two different comics, plus attempting to finish my own. Plus jobs. Plus making costumes for next year.
BUT
I'm going to try getting myself back on the once a week updating track!

If you would like to read some of my comic, the first issue is online HERE.
I am almost done the second issue, and will be uploading it to that site once it is done!
Vol2 has a whole new look. It's being swapped over from drawn with markers{vol1} to being done completely on the computer{vol2}.
Hope you like it!

You can read the first issue of my brother's comic here.
~WARNING~ If you are easily offended or don't like violence. THIS IS NOT FOR YOU!!!
We're changing styles of this comic as well. This time, going for semi digital to completely drawn in markers. With digital colour accents.

That's all for now,

For those of you in Canada who are convention goers, here's where I'll be if you want to stop by and say hello:

May 30-31
This will be their second year, and I'll be attending once again.

Next up on the order of things.

I'm going to be spending more time in the future attending comic conventions. I already have three lined up for next year and am hoping to add more to my list.
Currently I attend the conventions on the western side of Canada. I am hoping to expand eastwards.
And maybe, head down into the states or other countries.

I'm going to start opening commissions more often here on DA. I am aiming to have two to three slots open every month. We'll see how that goes.

I am now on patreon. You can check me out HERE.
I'm still working on the set up of that page. But basically you'll be helping me make more of the large acrylic paintings, sculptures, and digital fan works.
People who donate will receive wall papers, postcards, more frequent updates on what I'm working on, WIP's, sneak peaks into my comics and much more.

Currently I am working on making T-shirts and designs. But I want to find a place that will give YOU the buyer a decent price.

If you would like to buy a print, or copy of my comic you can get it on my Etsy site, here.

That's it for now.

I have some nice works I am excited to share with you once they are complete.

That's all for now,
Merry Christmas

I have a new sculpture for you and hopefully a new painting.

November

Journal Entry: Sat Nov 1, 2014, 10:50 AM
Hope everyone had a fun Halloween!
I know I did.

Anyways.
November is a busy month for me.

My latest batch of commissions are completed and shipped out. {Check your e-mails for the details if you haven't already!}
So I'll be opening commissions for this month. Only Three slots for now. We'll see if I have time for more.

Unfortunately many of the commissions I've been getting lately are for prototypes or concepts that I'm not allowed to share yet.
Hopefully I'll get to show them to you all soon!

CLICK HERE for information about commissions. If you have any questions or want to know a quote, feel free to message me.

Keep an eye out. In a couple of weeks I'll be releasing a special coupon code for my etsy shop. Just in time for Christmas!
I'll also be adding more prints, some photography works and maybe even a sculpture or two onto my Etsy as well.

Here are updates on the various comics I work on {copy-pasta-from my last journal. Oh well}

Issue two of on the Edge of Perception is nearly complete. There are a couple more things I'd like to add. The style of art has changed quite a bit in issue two. As much as I loved doing the traditional marker drawings as in issue 1, it takes too long and is too expensive.
So it'll have a new digital style of painting and a whole lot of new characters.
Roln and his Dragon - EOP -2 by FloobooHere are Roln and his dragon showing off EOP's new style.
"on the Edge of Perception: Tide of Dagon-Roule", will be available for pre-order in January. And will be brought with me to The Eek festival in March, and to the Calgary Comic Expo in April.

The writer of SlyFox comics is working on issue two now. He just submitted the prologue, so issue two is a little ways away. But IS coming.

You can buy any of the comics that are out {and later, pre-order} on either my Etsy Shop or my personal store.

Until Next Time.

Back from the Edmonton Con...

Journal Entry: Sat Oct 4, 2014, 6:37 PM
I'm back from the convention last week. I'd like to say thanks to everyone who stopped by and chatted.

Commissions for this month are closed for now, as I have gathered quite a few during the convention.

For those of you who are fans of my various comic books:

On that note, I have a  question for my lovely followers.  I was thinking about doing a series of comics that feature 3-4 stories. Each story based off of one about an animal, generally a stray, that has a good moral to it.  {Such as the story about "Ugly the Cat", "I don't wish to be rich or beautiful, I wish to love completely. I wish to be Ugly."}

What do you guys think?
If anyone is interested I'd love to make such a comic, and have some of the proceeds go towards helping homeless animals.

Don't expect too much updating for the next couple weeks, I'll be focusing mainly on getting comics and commissions done.
Next month I should be able to post a lot more stuff for everyone to look at and {hopefully} enjoy.

Until Next Time.

Something New, This Way Comes.

Journal Entry: Mon Sep 8, 2014, 10:09 PM
Hey everyone!

Things are winding up as the September Edmonton Expo approaches. And I've got a few new things coming your way.

First up, for those of you who are planning to pick up your commissions at the expo on Saturday, try and come before 1:00 if you can! Other wise I may not be there, I've decided to test my costume in the contest.
BUT DON'T WORRY if you come by and I'm not there. I will be leaving details {name of commissioner, the piece and any remaining balance {for you two that do}} with my helpers so you can still get your commissions.
I prefer to be there and see the reaction for myself, but it's not necessary.

I'll be at booth A 18 in Artist Alley!

If you're attending, do make sure you stop by and say HI! On Saturday I'll be looking like this:
Moblins are coming! by Flooboo Pretty easy to spot!

Hope to see you there, if you're not attending, have a good September! {It's already snowing here! Winter is coming!}

What's new?
I'll be continuing to take commissions through DeviantART as well as my personal and Facebook pages.

Do you like Pokemon? Do you love your pets?
Can't decide between buying a fancy painting of your beloved critter, or a portrait of your dream team?
I got just the thing for you!

PokePets!

Over the next few days I'll be posting a series{7} of pictures. Each one is of a "PokePet". In other words.  One of my darling pets made into  a Pokemon. Cats have a wide range of coat colours, why can't a Persian, Meowth or Delcatty?

PokePet portrait info will be posted within the coming week. If you have any questions beforehand, feel free to message me on any of my sites. {Listed below}

We'll start with the first PokePet. A Dog of mine who passed earlier this year. He was a border collie, re-imagined as a Growlithe.

My deviantART Story

Journal Entry: Fri Aug 8, 2014, 11:22 AM
First off, Happy 14th DeviantART!

Here's a brief story about yours truly.

Once upon a time, in a galaxy far away. There lived a Flooboo. She lived with other strange creatures that somewhat resembled the Humans of planet Earth. Flooboo never bothered to get a proper name, since she was the only one of her kind. But some called her Brittni.
One day, a very bad being of ultimate evil appeared, and started destroying Flooboo's home. Now, Flooboo liked her home, the things she's collected from travels. And, of course, her pets. She obviously she wouldn't stand for this being of ultimate evil ransacking her place of living.
So she decided to do something about it.
Flooboo ran into her house and looked for something to fight the evil being of ultimate badness with. Not being much of a warrior, Flooboo only had a couple of weapons. So she grabbed what she had, and ran out to face the darkness.
At first she tried attacking the darkness with a broad sword. But that didn't work.
So she tried a wooden sword. That didn't work either.
Flooboo pulled out a pair of Sai, and tried using those. She got a bit closer before they were flung from her hands by the shock waves of evil.
So she grabbed her bow, and tried firing a few shots. But that didn't work because Flooboo has really bad aim.
Eventually, however, she managed to get close enough to see the face of ultimate evil.
Digging through her bag for one last weapon to try. There were none left. Two objects lay at the bottom of the bag, and her fingers closed around the larger. Her last chance to defeat the being of ultimate evil.
She threw it at the face of evil.
The container of craft sparkles exploded. Flooboo hid behind a rock to avoid being hit with the glitter. Who wants to be all sparkly all the time?
The being of ultimate evil threw back its head and cried in horror. Scratching at it's own face in an attempt to rid itself of the foul glitter, Flooboo saw her opportunity to strike. She grabbed her pencil and stabbed him in the eye and said. "Get lost! Or I'll dump more glitter on you!"
So the being of ultimate evil fled. And could never again be called evil. For he glittered like a barbie. Flooboo never saw him again.

This is the story of Flooboo's past. What is she doing now?
Doodling on paper making what is sometimes known as "ART", and dragging herself out from her cave, and into a place called "WORK". Where she doesn't enjoy herself and counts down the hours to when she can return to her cave, cats, and papers.

THE END

CCEE and the Eek!

Journal Entry: Wed Apr 23, 2014, 3:49 PM
Hey all!

I'm back from CCEE {the calgary comic con}!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by, even if it was just to say hi! I loved chatting with everyone in costume and other deviants.

Now that I'm back I'll be preparing for another con which is coming up quickly.

On May31st and June 1st is The Eek! comic and pop culture festival. So I'll be headed there with some brand new prints and some new sculpts as well.

On another note, my Puff the Magic Dragon comic is now up for sale on my website! And will be on My Etsy Shop later in the week.

Until next time,

Hey everyone!

It's been a while since I last posted a journal here.
I think it's about time for an update.

I've been very busy lately with various commissions.

First off, I've been doing character/object designs and the colouring for a comic book called Stargirl, you can visit the website HERE. We are just about to start on the third issue.

Next I've been doing the designs/and illustrations for a brand new comic called Sly Fox. You can check out that website, HERE.
The prologue is up on the website, and the very first issue is set to be printed within the next few weeks. There is a pre-order for it up on the website, there will also be copies with me at this year's Calgary Comic Expo.

Speaking of Comic Expos...

April is coming up fast!
And with it, the Calgary Comic Expo!
Which has now been expanded to four whole days!

I'll be there in Artist Alley at booth #S 12.
So stop by and say "Hi"!
If you can't make it, I do have some prints up for sale on my Etsy site, HERE.
I'll be in costume for part of the time, I'll be in my Lurker costume {from my EOP comic} and dressed as my own take on Link, from the Legend of Zelda.

And with that I'm off!
As always, thanks for stopping by!

Hey guys!

Convention season is still a ways away. But I feel like it's coming up fast.

This year I attended my first ever two conventions, as an artist rather than guest.
And in April of next year will be my third one.

So here's where I need your opinions.
Because I just started and the two conventions were close to each other I didn't really have any variation to what I had for sale.
Only a couple new sculptures to replace old ones.

But I want to start rotating things, so that each convention doesn't have the exact same prints, every time.

What do you guys want to see of me?

Pokemon? Scenery? My Little Pony I hear it's very popular these days ; D? Photography?
Images based off of scenes or characters in the comics I am working on?

Please let me know in the comments below.

I'd like to grow as an artist in both skills, and in variety of the things I create.

I'm also thinking of doing a couple of 'mini' comics. Only a few pages long, mostly based off of songs, poems or ballads.
They would be a physical item that I'd be selling, The first I want to do if Puff the Magic Dragon.
Thoughts? Check out this Poll!
