Red Skull - design

I never really got into Captain America, so I only really know Red Skull from the wolverine comics.
I like the idea and simplicity, I suppose.
After I did the Loki entry, I decided I'd do some of the other villains, and so here you are.


My second {of probably four} design submissions to the Marvel Villains contest.

I've decided to do something a bit different for my submissions:
1~ I've decided not to use text.
Sometimes text just gets in the way. Some people might like the design but not the text. If it isn't done right it'll just get in the way.
So I figured, no text from me this time. And to point out that this isn't just some random skull in the colour red, I've added the Hydra symbol.
2~ I love detail, but I also love simplicity.
For this one I decided to do that 'rough' but basic style. I've seen it on male clothing a few times before, and figured it was a good look for this design.
3~ Try a new form of background
Doodle Splats! They amuse me, I've seen them on t-shirts before. If they're done right {which I think I have succeeded} they can look good without being distracting.
